The free texts of Freinnet pedagogy are an amazing tool that aims to promote the free expression of students, practice writing, and contact with literature.

Let's see how the above technique was utilized with the students of ΣΤ3, in the context of the Holocaust anniversary.

Initially, we read the book "My Peopleby Mariza De Castro. It is the story of a persecuted family of Jewish origin, who during the German occupation, found refuge in a village in Korinthos and were saved thanks to the help of its inhabitants.

After reading the book, the children were given 20 minutes to write whatever they want on the subject. Since this is rather new, at first they have difficulty and complain: "But I don't know what to write." Whatever you want, even one line is the answer.

After we wrote our texts, it was time for the presentation. Only the texts of the students who wished to do so were read.

While the texts were being read, another child drew something related to the content of each text separately in a box. At this point, the children taking on roles is one of the desired goals.

After all the texts were read, the student who had drawn took on the task of presenting the stories that were heard again.

Margarita did this difficult job with great success. She drew 11 texts, added titles with the help of the whole class, and reminded us of them one by one from the beginning.

Finally, it was time for the votes. Each student voted for two texts that they loved.

The texts with the most votes will be corrected by the whole class and will be included in the next issue of our newspaper.

And here we should say a big Bravo to all the students, for the texts they wrote, as they were all very moving. The truth is that we had a very hard time voting.
