On the occasion of December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and to raise awareness among the educational community and society at large on issues of equal access for people with disabilities to education, our school organized information and awareness-raising activities for our students.

Γ1 class knows these people best.
On the occasion of the text of the Language "Our friend Argyro" and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the children of Γ1 dedicated their day to getting to know these people better, their way of life, the difficulties of their everyday life, the way we should treat them, but also the strength of their soul, focusing on the fact that when we set goals, nothing stops us!
Starting with the observation of the images from the text and guided by our presentation, the children tried for a while, through activities, to put themselves in the shoes of these people. They found their way with their only helpers being their hearing and touch, they felt objects and tried to identify them, they wrote their names in Braille, they spoke in sign language and they tried to draw without hands.

Β1 and Γ2: We sing in sign language!

The teachers and students of classes B1 and Γ2 prepared a very pleasant surprise for us immediately after the prayer on December 4th!

The students of B1 and our musician Ms. Maria Lithiropoulou sang to us in Greek Sign Language the well-known song "Να αγαπάς" by Pantelis Thalassinos with lyrics by Veliotis Nikos. Then, the Γ2 together with our musician and teacher Giorgos Tsiantis sang to us "Εγώ κι εσύ μαζί" by Randy Newman and Jimmy Panousis!
