As part of the Erasmus+ Accreditation of the 47th Primary School of Heraklion, our Arts' teacher Mrs. Sofia Fountoulaki participated in the Transnational Cooperation Activity (TCA) entitled “Boosting Mobility among 11–12-Year-Old Pupils for Erasmus+ Accredited Schools in Primary Education”, which took place in Blankenberge, Belgium, from 20 to 22 May 2026.
The international seminar brought together teachers and representatives of Erasmus+ accredited schools from several European countries, with the common goal of strengthening group mobility opportunities for primary school pupils. Participants explored the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme, exchanged experiences and good practices related to the planning and implementation of pupil mobilities, and discussed effective ways to prepare 11–12-year-old students for participation in European learning activities.
Special emphasis was placed on building new European partnerships, using eTwinning as a tool for the preparation and support of mobility projects, and ensuring the active participation of all pupils, including those with fewer opportunities. Through collaborative workshops and networking activities, participants developed new contacts and explored possibilities for future cooperation and joint Erasmus+ initiatives.
The participation of our teacher in this seminar further strengthens the international network of our school and opens new perspectives for the implementation of group pupil mobilities within the framework of our Erasmus+ Accreditation. Such initiatives offer valuable opportunities for intercultural learning, collaboration, active citizenship and European engagement.
As part of the dissemination activities of our Erasmus+ Accreditation, Mrs. Fountoulaki will shared the knowledge, experiences and good practices acquired during the seminar with the teaching staff of our school in June 17. This dissemination process supports our teachers in preparing and successfully implementing future pupil mobility activities, contributing to the achievement of our Erasmus+ objectives and expanding international learning opportunities for our students.
