On Friday, February 14, the 6th-grade students visited the Ecological Farm of Regenerative Agriculture, The Little School of the Earth, in Ano Kalesia.
After learning about the history of the farm, the students wandered through the wood and were given a tour of the rest of the farm. They were informed about the method of cultivation, such as layering, and about the methods of utilizing natural resources and recycling objects.
They saw two specially designed spaces in containers, a library and a small house, made from reusable materials. They also learned about herbs and planted their own plant.
They had time to play in the treehouse and get to know the farm's domestic animals, as well as deal with them, such as milking.
They discussed the creation of an ecosystem in a natural way.
