On Monday, November 25, 2024, the parathlete and international javelin champion Manos Giakoumakis visited our school!
The visit occurred in the context of the actions for December 3, the Day of Awareness for the Rights and Opportunities of People with Disabilities.
Our beloved Manos shared with students and teachers his memories and events regarding the 2017 traffic accident that changed his life and his daily life with prosthetic parts. He also explained to us how sports entered his life and changed everything.
He received a barrage of questions from our students and showed us how he could run with prosthetic limbs.
