We are delighted to announce that the 47th Primary School of Heraklion has been awarded the Erasmus+ Accreditation in the field of School Education (KA120-SCH) by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), the Greek National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme.
This accreditation represents an important recognition of the school’s long-term strategy for strengthening the European dimension of education and for promoting innovation and international cooperation in teaching and learning. The proposal submitted by the school received a very high evaluation score, confirming the quality of its planning and the strong commitment of the school community.
Through the Erasmus+ Accreditation, the school gains simplified access to funding for mobility activities for teachers and students until 2027. These activities include participation in training courses, job-shadowing visits to European schools and collaborative educational initiatives with partner institutions across Europe.
The school’s Erasmus Plan focuses on two main priorities. The first is the development of teachers’ competences in innovative STEAM teaching methodologies, supporting creative and student-centred learning approaches. The second priority is the promotion of inclusion and equal participation for all students, ensuring that every learner feels supported and actively involved in school life.
This new achievement further strengthens the school’s European orientation and supports its vision of creating a modern, innovative and inclusive learning environment that offers meaningful educational experiences for all students.
