41 students of our school, their parents, and the accompanying teachers of our school, participated in the annual excursion of the 6th Grade in Athens.
On the morning of Wednesday, May 22, we visited the sacred rock of the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum, while in the afternoon we had fun in the swimming pool of our hotel in Marathon and strolled along the beautiful beach of Nea Makri.
On the morning of Thursday, May 23, we visited the Adventure Park in Malakasa, where our adrenaline hit red with the wonderful games of the park. In the afternoon we visited the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, where the students together with Mrs. Farsari Stella prepared a wonderful surprise for us: They danced hasapiko in front of the temple at sunset, applauded by all present. Afterward, we all enjoyed our dinner together under the full moon.
On Friday, May 24, we toured the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and visited the Eugenides Foundation where we saw the film The Center of the World ..from the Geocentric system to the expansion of the Universe on the domed screen of the Planetarium. Then we walked around the center of Athens (Presidential Palace, National Garden, Maximou Megaron, Zappeion Megaron, Kallimarmaro). We watched the guards at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and finished with our appointment at the Hellenic Parliament.
